Do I have to have a version of Logic Studio or Logic Pro to get this, or is this a full version already? Is this an upgrade?

I am currently using garage band to make songs on my MacBook (the white one). I want to upgrade to Logic Studio and want to get this but I'm not sure if this is an upgrade and I have to have a version of LogicStudio of Logic Pro installed already? What is the difference between this $199 version and the LogicStudio for $499? Thanks

  • You need a previous version to use this version as it is, as it says, an upgrade!

  • I have the Logic Studio 8, how much i have to pay for an upgrade?
    I bought the version 8 with student discount from the Trinity College of Music in London.
