I can successfully print from both an iPad 2 and an iPad 1 wirelessly to this printer both with iOS 5 and iOS 5.1 (without any special software). This is on a Time Capsule created wireless network. (As of March 14, 2012)

No. I tried but you can only print via HP eprint, not directly through Airprint. (as of Feb 19, 2012)
