  No. The iPhone IOS Software sandboxes apps to prevent them controlling other parts of the iPhone. The only time you may need AV Protection is if your phone is "Jailbroken" which would void your Apple Warranty. Anti-Virus software isn't required on the iPhone. The major benefit is that apple in effect check all apps before they are allowed on the App Store in the first place.
