I have a kindle, can I transfer and use my amazon kindle account to download ebooks onto an ipad?

  yes...but you must download the kindle app for ipad first. Then when you purchase or download a free book, just select that you want it sent to your ipad. Problem solved. Please remember that once you buy a kindle book...it is yours! You can download it to all of your devices or select which device. As for the books you already have on your kindle, just go into your kindle manager and resend them to your ipad...just download the kindle app for ipad first...enjoy!!!!
