I want to use my iPhone with the Apple TV. Do I need to have wifi if I use airplay?
I have unlimited data and want to use that to watch netflix on my tv through my phone. Is this possible?

Yes you will need WiFi to connect your iPhone 5 with Apple TV and both the device need to be on the same network
You won't be able to use your Mobile Data Plan.
