Speck CandyShell Case for iPhone 3GS
functionally good...

I thought this was a great idea that speck had come up with. My main issue with this case is that the soft rubberized parts that you can see once the case is on (like the buttons and frame) start looking really dirty. I've only used this case for about two weeks now and I am going to buy a different case because this one looks dirty. I've been very careful with my phone. I only keep it in my pocket or purse, yet it's managed to look pretty bad very quickly. The rubber also will shred off, just from pressing the buttons. …More

Speck CandyShell Case for iPhone 3GS
Best Yet!!!
Written by RC from Springtown

Ive bought a few cases for my 3GS (incase slider, contour isee, contour showcase). Seems that the speck is the best yet. The inner rubber layer protects the phone by reducing impacts from dropping etc... the rubber lip on the screen side is great to keep your phone from sliding off inclined surfaces. To me the simplicity of the case actually makes it stand out, its only one piece which keeps if from separating and the inner rubber layer holds the phone tight and also seals it completely from dust with the exception of exposed ports, switches and camera hole etc... Another nice eye candy feature i really like is the fact that you can see just the top section of the chrome edge of the phone with gives a clean elegant look.
If i had one complaint it would be the part of the case below the button but in front of the USB port doesnt seem to fit snug. Noticed this on my case and my girlfriends. Guess since its so thin its hard to keep it tight... idk. However i dont believe this should deter anyone from getting one.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! …More12 of 12 people found this useful

Speck CandyShell Case for iPhone 3GS
Okay For Every Day Use
Written by NH from Naperville

I bought my iPhone about 3 months ago, and this was the first cover I bought for it. I love the way it looks, but it does not hold up well through every day use. I use my phone, but take the time to care for it. It usually sits in my purse or pocket. I have never dropped my phone, but do set it on table tops and other surfaces when I am using it. The shiny exterior scratches quickly and the rubber edging gets dirty, rubs off, and stains easily through light wear. This case also make my iPhone seem heavier than it really is. It is also tight when putting the cover on and off my phone. The best part about it is the inner rubber lining that protects my phone 100%. I would recommend this cover to anyone who uses their phone, but takes good care of it. Not the best quality, but pretty good. …More

Speck CandyShell Case for iPhone 3GS
Does not catch my hair
Written by IR from San Antonio

I loved this case for the two months I owned it. It has a smooth outer shell that does not catch my
hair or pockets. The inner shell is gummy, which allows for shock protection. The reason for 4
stars instead of 5: It's broken in two places (at the bottom near the charger opening). It's broken
at the thinnest place on the case so it's understandable but after two months? Also, the gummy
part on the outer shell (where the logo is) is dirty and it looks gross compared to the awesome
pink case I had two months ago. …MoreWas this useful?

My case broke along the bottom, it's so hard to remove, and even though it covers the metal lining, it still somehow got scratched
