Didn't realise it because it wasn't stated explicitly in the description that it is not meant for iPhone 3G, figured that being for iPhone it would work for the 3G as well but on the box it says works for all iPod models except iPhone 3G. Did not try plugging it in, will just return it, although I'm sure it's a lovely product. …More

Have a iPhone 3G, charges with no problem, can't see any issues, love the white led on the light socket end.

Sold by Apple as suitable for 3G, and it is - maybe mine is an updated product from the ones that other reviewers have had issues with?
Anyway, a good product in a nice form - personally, I would prefer not to have the LED light on the end of the plug (my car's lighter sockets stay on even if the key is off, so the light stays on as well) but I can see that it would have it's uses for other people.

Excellent in the car - keeps the iPod Touch screen from locking as well so no fiddling whilst driving.
Does not have FM transmitter or aux plug cable. If you need to plug it into an aux input in your car get the Belkin Mini Stereo Audio Cable; 1.8m (3.5mm MALE - 3.5 MALE)as well. (part code F8Z181-06-GLD) …More4 of 4 people found this useful
