Overview
The Mobile On-Ear headset combines Bose's acclaimed on-ear headphones with a custom-designed audio cable--featuring an omnidirectional, inline microphone for mobile communications.
You can use the Bose mobile on-ear headset with iPhone and a wide range of the latest music phones with 3.5 mm jacks. The connector fits directly into these phones, and most notebook and portable MP3, DVD, and CD players, without an adapter.

Great sound, but don't be fooled iPhone users!

I love the sound that comes out of these babies! The bass is superb and it still produces very crisp sounds. But make sure you don't think that the "custom-designed audio cable" is gonna be a hands-free device, like the stock headphones that come with the iPhone. You still have too uses the iPhone to answer and hang up, change track, pause play, ect. It only serves as a microphone. I have these headphones and use it with my iPhone and just talk through the internal mic on the phone itself. It would be better to just buy the headphones for $60 less. But if you do that, like me, you have to worry about the input not fitting into the headphone jack. I got a $12 adapter and it works great! Again the sound is amazing! …More

Comfortable, though Expensive

Although I have to admit that I've heard better quality headphones for the price, this headset still provides smooth sounds and all the the rich tones I've come to love from my acoustic, jazz, and rock collections (which are missing in "wallmart" phones). While "true" audiophiles may be disappointed, regular listeners who abide by .mp3's and Apple's .aac files my find added enjoyment and richer sounds in their 256kbps files. I'm not saying these headphones are bad at all, I'm saying that at the price this model is being sold at, there are other headphones that significantly sound better (if that's what you're after). It's a definitely a great step-up from the iPod headphones.
Bose exceeds here with the comfort level. This is probably one of the only headphones that have a very light design, and the soft padding on my ears never caused discomfort, even after 6 hours of use on my first listen-through with them. However, these headphones are meant to be for a "home setup" - such as when you're listening to music on the laptop, on the couch reading, on a plane, etc. These aren't exercise headphones.
The quality of the build of the headphones themselves is pretty good. For the most part it's a sold product, with little flex here and there.
I would recommend this product for listeners just getting into the audiophile world, or for users who simply want a comfortable pair of headphones. I do have to say however, the price is a bit much for what you get. …More97 of 106 people found this useful

These headphones are fantastic and sound incredible. However, the microphone doesn't have the same capabilities as the standard iPhone earphones (i.e. You can't skip tracks or pause music).
I'd recommend buying the Shure Music Phone Adapter for iPhone (£30) and the Bose Headphones without the mic (£120), that way you can still have the exact same controls as the standard earphones that come with the iPhone, but with the Bose ones instead, and it works out at the same price. The cable is a bit long but I think they're worth, £150 well spent, especially if you can't stand the original iPhone earphones! …More91 of 96 people found this useful

Great travel box and so on...

Good Sound Quality But Mic Doesn't Work?

I have purchased two pairs of these headphones because when I am speaking through the mic, callers complain that the sound keeps cutting out. I returned the first pair thinking that it was defective, but the second pair had the same defect, too!
Is anyone else experiencing sound being cut out on the mic?
