Kiss MS Office good bye
Written by MN from Marina Del Rey

I have had to endure using MS Office because it is what the rest of my PC coworkers use. iWork 09 mad such dramatic improvements in ease of use and the presentation of finished documents, I'll take the slight draw back of having to convert file back and forth. iWork 09 does a good job of reading and writing MS Office files, there are only minor issues that take less than 10 min to fix. As my IT guy said he wishes iWork was for windows then he would switch the whole company to iWork. …More

Mostly impressed

I think that Apple has a very good suit of productivity tools considering the price that it is being sold for. If you compare the product, keynote is definitely the best presentation tool avaible in the market because it has many features and uses very powerfull animation options. Page has greatly improved from the 08 version and is now much more focused on being a good word processor. Howerver, their is still a lot of room for improvement. One feature that would be nice would be if it were possible to see how different fonts or colors would change the appearence of the text befor making the actual changes. Finally, numbers has had the most improvement from the three applications especially because of the new formulas that have been added. Howerver, Excel is still much farther ahead. …More

excellent upgrade
Written by AM from Brookline

I've just installed iWork '09.
The EndNote and Mathtype compatibility in Pages are big deal for me. They both work great, and are great new features. The iPhone control of Keynote presentation is also a nice addition to a software that is already much more powerful than PPT! New transitions are nice.
In short, recommended.

iWork 09 does just that. It works!
Written by AS from GLASGOW

I have always loved the simplicity of the Mac software and the reliability of all Apple products. The iWork 09 family pack is just another addition to an already great package! My wife and I both use Macs and the kids are getting old enough for their own too, that is why the family pack makes perfect sense. For a small additional fee you have 5 copies for use on multiple Macs in your house. It's just.... perfect! …More

not in a literal sense, because of it saving in a iWork file such as .pages or .numbers, which PCs just dont like. HOWEVER you can export it as a word document or excel file by going to file>export and then choosing what you want a copy of it as, the only downside to this is you may loose some of the fonts and formats as they are not on PC's word processors or whatever program …More
