Great new keyboard
Apple has another hit on their hands and is definitely on a roll. I replaced my original apple keyboard with the new one for my M ac Pro since the original did not have a crisp enough key stroke...it seemed "mushy" sometimes...but now....amazing! …

Apple New Wired Keyboard
Hooked up the new keyboard today and its is a real site to behold. Very thin and lite weight. The new key design has a great fee l and very large keys so you don't make many mistakes.
THE ONE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS the two usb ports will not support an ipod. I have the video Ipod and I get a warning that the USB power is too low to power the attached device. I bought this key board to clear away clutter on my desk and hopefully eliminate a few cords. Unfortunately its not true and I was disappointed. AMAZING...but....
Well, on the OS X side this is the best keyboard I've ever had. Took a little while to get the feel of it, but now it's second-na ture. Once problem...Boot Camp. This little baby uses Function keys for audio up and down and brightness, and Vista really didn't like it. Sadly, I'm going to have to keep using my old keyboard until they update BootCamp to work with this new keyboard. That's why I'm only giving three stars. Otherwise, it'd be a full FIVE, baby!

Great but not Wireless
I have got the new 27" imac everything expect the power is wireless, trakpad, mouse keyboard: Great! Only I'm missing the numeric part of the keyboard, I'm ready to order but wait this is wired. Why, prop[ably because of the USB hub but I would like to trade that for wireless any day. Only alternative that I have found until now is the logitech wireless k750 solar powered, but it is just not the real thing. I hope that a new keyboard will be announced soon otherwise it will need to be the alternative version. …

Prepare for arm injury if you are right handed
Great keyboard except for one fundamental flaw if you are right handed. The keyboard is long with all the additional numeric elem ents to the right side, which is where your mouse would normally live, so you'll end up with your mouse arm extended at an unnatural diagonal angle if you place yourself in front of the main keypad area. This over time will result in the twisting of the bones in your lower arm and lots of pain. I've been there.
The small Apple keyboard in this regard is BETTER than most normal keyboards because it doesn't have a keypad on the right at all, so gives a perfect natural arm angle. In fact, the small keyboard with a separate numerical keypad is the perfect solution and probably the best solution you'll find anywhere.

I like it, and works great, but it's a bit dated. I want an update with black chiclet backlit keys like my MacBook Pro. Would lo ve another USB port or two and maybe an SD card reader, as well. …

The short answer is yes, but as with any other kind of switch, it takes a little getting used to.
As we may already know, the Apple-style delete removes characters backwards, akin to PC's backspace. However, if you hold down the fn key on an Apple keyboard while you press the delete key, it removes characters forward, akin to the PC delete that we all know.
I'm not sure if an Apple keyboard implements a PC keyboard's Insert, but then again to me it really doesn't matter, since I never use that key anyway.
Other useful PC-to-Apple keyboard translations:
Home on PC => fn + left arrow on Apple
End on PC => fn + right arrow on Apple
Page Up on PC => fn + up arrow on Apple
Page Down on PC => fn + down arrow on Apple
Windows Key on PC => Cmd Key on Apple (in Windows only)
Naturally, all of these keystrokes on the Apple keyboard can be combined with Shift, Ctrl/Cmd, and/or Alt as necessary, so for example, Ctrl+Alt+Del on PC would translate to Ctrl+Alt+fn+Del to get the same effect using an Apple keyboard.
I have not yet found a translation on an Apple keyboard for PC keyboard's Print Screen key, which is useful for capturing screenshots quickly. Does anyone here know how to send such a code with an Apple keyboard, assuming it can actually do that? …- Answered by George H from Dayton
