  • DO NOT BUY THIS CASE!

I bought this case for my brand new iPhone 5s thinking it would offer the most protection against everything. When I opened it, it had sharp edges on the inside of the case, and had even scratched and scuffed the plastic test iPhone that was included inside the case to do the water test. I could not even bare the thought of putting a brand new $1000 phone in it and I ended up returning it. Cheap and nasty case for $99.95 save your money.

I suppose having a broken wrist and elbow doesn't help in my opinion here. However, its the way it should be. I'm happy knowing its securely locked in and especially happy knowing it will, if securely locked together, won't open apart when its dropped.

All my saved TouchID prints work perfectly normal. The supplied screen protector was very easy to apply, no bubbles first go!

On LifeProof main site, I did find in the support section if the charge port becomes worn or damaged, you can arrange a replacement with them. What a relief! No the charge port is not flimsy, its firmly secured.

Normal headphones connect easily without adapter!

I'm saddened the sound quality of the speakers was diminished... and for the sake of saying it - I wish there were other colour options! :)

Couldn't tell you why it flooded but I have always been very uncomfortable with the screen being exposed to water and have had problems before with the phone looking wet to the point where I was concerned after I took it out the case (on another occasion I had an error come up on the phone saying this accessory is not supported when there was no accessory plugged in which I know is a sure sign water is at play).

I would use this product as a tough case that would probably save your phone if you got caught in a downpour or fell into the drink. I have used the Fre previously and feel more confident with this phone as something that I can use under the water. I also find the screen easier to use even though it has the plastic cover (and it's more protective).

It's also almost impossible to swipe from the bottom with the Nuud as the case is too think to properly touch the screen.

Case arrived today, passed the waterproof test, snapped together nicely. Way smaller than previous Lifeproof and Otterbox cases.

All swipe actions work fine, just have to adjust your style.
Weight feels a little off in the hand, if you flip the phone screen down into your palm, this will give you the feeling that I want when screen is face-up. Doesn't feel like it's staying in my hand without a firm grip, as the front of case is a lot heavier than the rear panel.
Hasn't slid of anything unexpectedly yet.
I'm no good at putting scratch protectors on.
    Need to buy waterproof headphones.
Takes a few goes to get used to the reversal of the mute button.
Have had only a couple of instances where touch ID wouldn't work, but I've also had the same issue without a case on.
    Camera photos look the same.
A lanyard would be nice, as mentioned in another review.
Do not work around water often so have not bought a lifejacket for it, have seen and they're bulky, but if you work around deep water all the time it'd be a smart investment.
Bike clip also purchased, works as expected, and can also attached to broom handles if you feel like being a movie director. Time for some mean slo-mo shots.
$80 Australian off popular auction website, still pretty expensive but last week in Perth I had to cough up $329 to get a replacement due to badly damaged screen.
Unless you can guarantee you won't have butter fingers at least once, do yourself a big favour and buy a decent case, at least until screen replacement prices are fair! And make sure you have insurance through your telco, it's only $10 here in Straya!!
