I purchased mine at my local Apple Store a week ago have have been enjoying them ever since. After a few hours of break-in they sound even better.

The leather ear cups are very comfortable, people that have medium-large ears might want to try them on to make sure your ears fit comfortably in the ear cups.

I own the B&W P5 headphones and can attest that the P7 beats them for sound and comfort. However, that is at the expense of portability due to the larger size of the P7 when compared to the P3 and P5. B&W supplies a very nice case in which to transport these beauties in.

The P7 works great with my iPhone 5 and iPad2. They don't need a separate headphone amplifier or DAC. But the are versatile as they scale up in sound when I put them to use with me desktop headphone amplifier and DAC (with an iMac as the sound source). I have not switched out the iPhone cable to the straight cable for theses sessions. A purist would, so it is nice that B&W supplies a second cable.

Over on Head-Fi (a headphone enthusiast site) there are a lot of comparisons to the Sennheiser Momentum and a few other portables. The comments and reviews there are positive.

The only con for these headphones are the cost. However, they are worth it if you enjoy beautifully made headphones that sound great.

Physical appearance: I know this is subjective. I'm a 27 year old guy. I feel like they are not exactly marketed towards my demographic but someone in their 40's. The quality is excellent though. The leather is high quality and they leave me feeling like they will last for several years.

Feel: Wearing them is really interesting. As I looked at them, I thought that there was no way that they could feel comfortable. Wow was I wrong. The ear cushions fit perfect. My ears don't touch inside of the ear cups and overall they feel light while wearing. I think because they are new they are still kind of squeezing my head a little.

Sounds: You seriously need to experience this for yourself with a lossless music file. I can't even touch my other headphones now. Some of the ones that I tried and felt that were inferior were as follows: PSB M4U 2, Bose QC 15, V Moda M100, and Denon 600. Also worth noting that the sound isolation is very good.

Price point: I feel that these sit right around where they belong.

Overall Impression: I think these things are great. I'm definitely a B&W fan now. Lol, never thought I'd say that. Try these things, you won't regret it.

  • Great, improves on the P5.

These really are a step up from the P5. They sound fantastic, every bit as good as B&W claim. Noticable improvement from the P5.

Very comfortable to wear, even for long periods. The cable has improved from that of the P5 as well. Overall I'm impressed with them.

As you unpack these headphones the box gives you the impression of quality, normally a let down I know, but not in this case. These over the ear headphones are comfortable, well made and have extremely good sound. From the average listener (me) to the major audiophile the P7's are guaranteed to please. Beautifully made, leather trimmed with quality componentry, amazing sound and great comfort these are well worth the money. iPad/pod/phone comparable with dual cables and built in controls they're easy to use too. Good passive noise isolation (much better than active noise cancelling in my opinion) achieved with a good fit of the over ear cups and soft leather padding to prevent that pressure feeling after longer use. The head band is nicely designed and easily adjustable and allows the ear cups to fold away for storage when travelling. All in all a great product, not cheap, but nothing that really pleases ever is..

I tried these pair as soon as I received them. The first two minutes, my impression was 'how much have I wasted on this rubbish'. I tried these pair as soon as I received them. The first two minutes, my impression was 'how much have I wasted on this rubbish'. The base was loose and sound did not have any depth, volume was very low.

Then I 'burned' them in being skeptical whether this would work or not - only for about 20mins - looping the same initial track. Then came back to listen. The difference was like day and night, put a massive grin on my face. Thereafter, for the next 2-3hours the sound just got better and even louder (this from the perspective of a non-audiophile). I could track each instrument on the songs I listened to - that was the first captivating part.

The second was the 'soundstage'. I never understood what people meant. But it became clear when listening, there is a certain presence as if you are listening though loudspeakers, but non of the overpowering boom you get with beats.

The third was comfort - I was so engrossed in testing, that I went through a movie and a couple more hours of music and didn't feel any pressure or discomfort. This compared to my previous headphones where my ears went red after 20mins!

Build quality - no plastic, real leather (even with the smell) and just feels sturdy and solid!
I bought these after trying the Vmoda 100, the momentum and the beats executives. My opinion the P7s are so much better!

I am a pro studio person and I will write this review in plain and simple language. Bowers and Wilkins P7 is one of the best pair I am a pro studio person and I will write this review in plain and simple language. Bowers and Wilkins P7 is one of the best pair of headphones I have ever tried in my 20 years of career. I have used more than 25 brands in my career. But nothing like P7. It's the sound quality meets the built quality. No cheap material, every thing about this headphone is luxury. There are lot of good headphones in market some sounds good while some lack in built quality. I have tried top models of headphones of all these brand (beats,Bose,Polk, B&O' parrot, sony sennheiser,) but finally search ends here. Don't take me wrong all these brands makes good quality headphones but P7 is 10 steps ahead of everyone. Very tight bass you can actually hear each and every instruments. Bottom line worth every penny,I have listen over 100 different songs to examine the quality and this pair is outstanding. It has a $400 price tag but it's built to last for life.

Great work by Bowers and Wilkins.
