The BeoPlay H6 over-ear headphones give you authentic sound that's built on a clear midrange and a careful balance between bass and treble. This level of audio quality is delivered by 40 mm custom-designed drivers with neodymium magnets that are perfectly angled to get the best distance and sound direction into your ears. There's also an internal bass port to ensure carefully balanced bass performance from this closed headphone design.
Optimal sound and fit
To provide the ideal listening experience, B&O PLAY thoroughly studied the shape and curves of the human ear to determine the proper geometries that reduce sound leakage and reveal all the fine details in the music no matter what the volume.
The primary structural components are made of anodized high-grade aluminum, so BeoPlay H6 is surprisingly light as well as robust and scratch-resistant. There's even anodized aluminum on the adjustable slider arm and cover plate to finish the design with a final vibrant touch.
Superb industrial design
Danish industrial designer Jakob Wagner collaborated with B&O PLAY in shaping BeoPlay H6. His training as a mechanical engineer and industrial designer allowed him to influence all the practical stages of the design process.

Its elegant, stylish design caught my eyes. I have owned Bose QuietComfort 15, currently have a pair of Sennheiser Momentum, i have decided to give it a try. Well, that's one of the smartest decisions I have made since I purchased Sennheiser Momentum. If you are a fan of good sound, you need no introduction of Sennheiser Momentum, i would say Beoplay H6 is on the same level as Momentum, even better in some aspects.
In terms of style, its looks speaks for itself, I haven't seen a more beautiful headphone than this, and that including Momentum. Don't let the beauty fools you, its sound is just as nice as it looks. If you are looking for heavy bass, go look somewhere else, i can say this is hands-down the most balanced headphone on the market (in the 400 dollars range). No matter how loud you turn on the volume, it doesn't distort the sound, it let you hear every single keys. Its light weight enables you to wear it for hours without feeling it is on your head. What i like about is its bigger earcups, if you have big ears like me, wearing Momentum for longer duration can hurt my ears and make them steamy, this problem doesn't exist with Beoplay H6. However, i found it will make your good tracks (320kbps) even better, and expose your bad tracks (256 kbps or less) even more. It also can be folded for easy storage (Momentum can't be folded). It has two connections ports (one each under the earcup), allows you to share music with other people, just by plugging the 3.5mm jack into the other connection port. Overall, it is one of the elite headphones I have experienced (in the 400 dollars range). If i have to pick between Beoplay H6 and Momentum, I would pick Beoplay H6, because of its balanced sound, better design and portability, lastly, bigger earcups. So, if you have extra 100 bucks to spare, i would say go for it, you won't regret it. (If you do regret it, you have the Applestore 14 days return policy :) …

So when I found out that they were going to make a new headphone set to compete with others on the market I was excited. The old Form 2 headphones, which b&o has had for years, really needed to be updated. first off let me say that if you like listening to heavy rock or Rap then these headphones are not for you. These headphones have a well balanced frequency range. While most headphones concentrate on heavy bass, the B&O H6 allow you to hear the mids and highs that you wouldn't hear with other headphones, with just the right amount of bass. These headphones are crafted in aluminum with plastic with large driver magnets. Real Australian leather, which is supposed to be a lot smoother. They have very comfortable ear cushions and at times you forget you are even wearing them. These are not noise canceling but they do a good job at silencing noises around you so that you can enjoy your music. Overall these headphones are well worth it at 399. …

I think this headphone is one of the most beautiful headphones on the market. When you hold it in your hands, it feels very well made with good quality materials. Everything feels expensive (they are actually expensive too!). B&O has always focused a lot on the design of its products and this one is no exception.
This headphone is not meant for everybody.
The sound is flat but well balanced. The mids and highs are very clear but the lows are almost absent (almost no bass). Compared to Sennheiser's Momentum, I find the Momentum to have a clearer sound but less wide sound stage than the H6.
Many people may not like flat sound, since nothing is pronounced and it can become boring after a long period of listening. I personally prefer a warmer sound. …

They have the flattest frequency response of any headphone I've owned and I've owned many. You'll hear things you've never heard in your music before when you wear these. Highs, mids and lows are all just really nice and flat, you'll hear what the record producer intended for you to hear, not hyped up junk that other headphones have. Ear fatigue will be kept to a minimum. They are comfortable to wear. My only gripe was that the first set I purchased had to be returned as it seemed like the low end drivers stopped working after 5 days. The replacement set have been going strong for 7 months now and I wear them for a few hours every day. I expected the cable to die on me after a few months but it's still going strong after plenty of abuse. I love 'em and recommend them highly. Good music deserves to be heard on great headphones like these, you won't regret it. I spent an hour sampling all the headphones in the apple store and these smoked all of the others available. I often fall asleep wearing them, they are comfy…but I think I'll buy some B&O in ears so I can sleep on my side. One more thing…my first set was the brown colour…I had buyers remorse over the colour and was glad they broke so I could replace them with a black set. The brown looked great on my computer screen and in the apple showroom but I looked like an idiot wearing them. Go with the black, they won't show the dirt and scuffs as much. …

Average sound great build

While they are superior in comfort and perhaps even build (the wire on my P5s broke regularly and eventually the headphone band) they are inferior when it comes to sound. There's almost no bass delivery at low volumes and it's generally quite a cold, flat sound. I'd go for the P7s over these or I've just switched to the AKG K845BT which aren't quite as light or comfy as the H6 but have a richer sound and offer Bluetooth connectivity at a significantly lower price. …

I want to preface this answer with that I only spent time in an apple store reviewing their headphon I want to preface this answer with that I only spent time in an apple store reviewing their headphone options. That said I've been into hi-fi music and "sound quality" for a long time so I think I can give a perspective.
I think the H6 are great BT that it greatly depends on the music you listen to. The beats (and others) works better for popular and electronic music as they carry a lot more 'UMPH'. But for Jazz, Classical and Voice the H6 sounds to my ears much more natural even played directly through an iPhone/iPod Touch (i.e without an amp). Voices and Double Base for example sounds more "live" and natural. That said for electronic, pop or rock music they H6 sounds good to my ears but not very engaging. Electric Guitar for example are as engaging as some other headphones.
For me the H6 will be my choice of next headphones (might buy them today). They work for the type of music I listen too and are the most comfortable ones to wear. That said I listen mostly to Jazz and more and more classical so my needs are quite different from the norm. …
