It fits my needs as it provides a bit of a bumper-type grip on the sides of the phone and protects the back while maintaining the white, clean look. (I have a white phone.) Very easy to snap it on, and it looks durable. …

LOOK NO FURTHER THAN THIS ONE!
you have just got the iphone 5 so like me you want a case that looks good but protects your investement. So just to save you wasti you have just got the iphone 5 so like me you want a case that looks good but protects your investement. So just to save you wasting money getting 4 previous cases like i did, yes i went for the trendy expensive picture ones, expensive but hard plastic and no protection round the edge, Then i went for different bumper cases one to show off the back then another that did not. but no protection for the screen Then i went for the classic leather with a snap front classy but sooo annoying after a few days, So I then read a few reviews off other websites and went for this one. It ticks all the boxes. it is nice shiny white yes it will get a few surface marks, it has edge that is higher than the screen so if you drop it it will protect the screen and lie it face down and it does not move as the rubber grips. the buttons are all covered and work fine. …

Audio port is too small

It was easy to install and seems to protect fairly well, though I haven't really put that to the test. The main issue with this case is the size of the access holes. The mute switch is difficult (though not impossible) to operate for medium to large fingers. The headphone jack is useless for most standard stereo cables. Apple headphones work fine as the jacket around the plug is very narrow. However, I have yet to find a standard audio cable (for plugging into car, stereo, etc) that will push in far enough to work at all. …

While I enjoyed it at first, it fell apart to unusable condition in 3 months. The rubber edge quickly frays and falls off, and the plastic pieces around the lightning port and mute switch quickly break. I put my phone through moderate use, it just isn't made to handle sliding in and our of your pocket regularly.
While earpods will plug in fine, most other 3.5 mm cables will not fit through the narrow hole for headphone jack. This requires you to take off the case to plug it in to most car or home theater systems, which in turn speeds up the rate of decay.
This is NOT a high quality case, and is not worth $35. I contacted Speck about replacing my case, and they require you to mail it in for a week before they will issue a new one... leaving your phone vulnerable the entire time. If you enjoy Apple level quality and service, do not buy Speck. …

Already needs replacing after only 3 months use
I purchased from Apple Store Bondi after it was recommended to me by the salesperson. The rubber trim is now deteriorated and is I purchased from Apple Store Bondi after it was recommended to me by the salesperson. The rubber trim is now deteriorated and is coming off, and the white plastic is broken where it is thinnest, ie. where the charger cable is inserted and where the on/off button is. I paid full price and would expect a product to last at least a year or two, not 3 months. Very disappointing to find out if I return it it has to go back to the manufacturer who are based in the US which will be a costly exercise. I would definitely not recommend this product. …

My advice is if you are willing to sacrifice the quality of your flash for this case then go ahead, but if you don't mind waiting for an iPhone 5s optimised case to come out so your flash works better, pick this option.
