Product Information

  • Overview

The Fitbit One measures your complete daily activity including steps taken, distance travelled, calories burned and stairs climbed. Simply wear it in a pocket, bra or belt using its soft silicon clip for easy attachment. At night use the included wrist strap and it will track how long and how well you sleep, with online tools to illustrate your deep sleep and wakeful patterns. A gentle vibration will wake you when you need without a noisy alarm.

Using the Fitbit dashboard you can track your progress on your Mac or in real-time on your iPhone, with easy-to-read graphs and charts, and progress towards your goals rewarded with badges. You can even enlist your friends and family to help you reach your fitness goals by sharing your stats and challenging a group to a competition with the seven-day leaderboard challenge. You can upload additional data to Fitbit.com such as your weight and food consumption, and use the Fitbit One with other popular fitness apps.

I find it interesting how the sleep analyzer has revealed how little actual sleep I get during the night. You can track your mood, your food and water intake and it will calculate your caloric intake verses calories burned. If your looking for a way to collect and process data the fitbit suite of products will allow you to record your, Food, activities, weight, sleep, heart rate, Blood pressure, glucose, and it has a handy journal for recording observations. I find myself spending more and more time recording my statistical data as I learn what the FitBit ONE has to offer.

I pair it with the lose it app and have had great success. My only complaint is I constantly develop a rash on the area that the clip touches my skin. Everyday I have to switch sides of my waist band. It gets very itchy and red. I'm not sure if anyone else has had that problem.

I wear it everyday and nights since about 3 weeks. The accuracy is correct - not perfect but I was not having so high expectations for a gadget I keep in my pocket. I like the fact that you can charge it and it's really the one reason why I choose this one instead of any other cheaper pedometer. What's really bugging me is that it's 10 times more expensive than a normal pedometer… The website is nice for keeping track of your activity but *spoiler!* you have to pay even more to access all the features. I feel like a company must give you something that's actually worth your money before asking you for more. They lost me on that one and I won't be buying from them anymore.

There seems to be endless problems with accuracy, particularly around when driving. Apparently I climb 33 flights of stairs yesterday....I think not. Yesterday it recorded how I had a restless nights sleep but it was sitting on a counter in another room all night!!

The help team at FitBit have been responsive but other than suggesting rebooting and telling me how I can edit out whenever I drive, they have been unable to assist.

I have no confidence in the data recorded.
