Another fantastic B&W Product

The C5's sound spectrum is complete across all levels; the accurate, punchy bass, smooth mids, and the open treble work together to provide for a wonderful listening experience. The passive audio-isolation manages to mask nearly all of the ambient noise around you. The fit of the buds might take a little getting used to with the cord that keeps the buds in the ear, but the adjustment curve is short and worth it; the C5's stay put better than any other bud that I've used. …

I listen to all types of music ranging from classical Wolfgang, to Ne-Yo, to B.I.G., as well as foreign artists. I need Headphones that are not orientated towards one genre or another. Being that these headphones are so well balanced, i am able to hear the frictional tug of each string with the bow of the violin. Feel the bass rumbling through my entire body as i play sweat.
These are by far also the most comfortable headphones i have in my arsenal. (Even better than the Klipsch patented oval shaped ones, and those are wonderful) I have worn these to sleep like they were regular form-fitting earplugs.
I also run everywhere i go. I have a very active life style so i need headphones that wont fall out every time i decide to run across the street to catch a light or a bus. With the secure loop, i am able to do just that. And may i add, it is also very comfortable.
(May i add you can headbang with these?!) …

The secure loop is a very welcome innovation for keeping them actually *in* your ear. Sound quality is wonderful throughout the full range from low to highs. They do take a few hours listening to really start to sing, but that's normal for audio products. …

Fantastic sound but would not recommend due to quality issues.
Probably one of the best sounding in-ear or headphones hi have heard in a long time, being a non hard-core audiophile like myself Probably one of the best sounding in-ear or headphones hi have heard in a long time, being a non hard-core audiophile like myself it's hard it would be hard to see needing anything better than this. The first time they broke the left ear bud stopped working and B&W replaced (after a painful warranty process with there north america distributor), after another six months of not very hard to use the
Remote started failing and sending mixed signals to the iPhone causing the volume to go up without input and large amounts of static in the buds. I have no doubt that some people buy these and get great performance and longevity from them but unfortunately I was not one of them. …

This is by far the nicest sounding set of headphones I have ever owned. The sound is natural, and sounds more like a set of nice speakers as opposed to traditional headphones that sound artificial (sound is blaring in your ear).
At first, I was frustrated with the loop design, however once I actually figured out how to wear them (you have to twist them in) I love the design and could not go back.
Do not hesitate, these are ridiculously awesome!! …

The quality of the sound is superior to the top of th These In-Ear phones produce some of the best sound that I have experienced. The quality of the sound is superior to the top of the line Schuur and Seinheiser, both of which I own. The sound isolation is excellent for a generic-fit in-ear phone.
Unfortunately the cables and control are wholly unreliable in my experience. The first pair that I tried was bad right out of the box. The second pair failed for the left channel within a few weeks. I will take the second pair back to the Apple store and see if they will give me a replacement.
I like the sound of these phones so much that I am willing to try again, and simply reserve these for airplane trips when sound isolation is so important. …
