Overview
JAMBOX by Jawbone is the smallest, best-sounding wireless speaker and speakerphone around. Just place it anywhere in a room and enjoy pristine streaming audio from your phone, computer or other Bluetooth devices. Bring music, movies and all your mobile audio vibrantly to life—all in the palm of your hand.
Big sound in a small package
With an output capacity of 85 decibels, JAMBOX fills even the largest rooms with stellar hi-fi sound. Unlike other portable speakers, JAMBOX is powered by a pair of proprietary, highly sophisticated acoustic drivers that produce extreme high (twitter) and low (woofer) frequencies from an ultra-small dome speaker. They work in concert with an innovative moving-wall passive bass radiator and airtight enclosure to deliver shimmering highs and thumping lows that you can literally feel.
It only gets better
JAMBOX is the only speaker that gets smarter every time you plug it in. Just sync it with Jawbone's industry-first MyTALK online platform to download apps, software upgrades and more. JAMBOX will always be up to date.
Go anywhere and go wireless
You get the freedom to bring pristine wireless audio to whatever you're doing, wherever you want. Carry it from room to room or just throw it in your bag. No more cords, docks or hassles.
Conference on the go
With a powerful, built-in microphone, JAMBOX frees you to share crisp, clean-sounding conference calls anywhere—in the office, car, at home, alone or with a group. It's also perfect for sharing video chats via iChat, Skype and more.
It's all in the details
JAMBOX looks and feels as striking as it sounds. But with its stainless steel construction and industrial-weight moulded rubber casing, it's not just a pretty package—it's a sturdy, portable, and meticulously crafted machine that's built to blast.

Not What I Expected
Sound is important to me. I was looking for something to use in my office at relatively low volume. The sound that comes from this device is good for it's size. It's overall smaller than a 16oz bottle of water and weighs about the same as one. Don't be confused by "sound is good for it's size". Sure, for a very small box, the sound is reasonable, but the sound isn't "good" by any stretch. It doesn't fill my small 8x10 office the same way my iHome of $99 does. The sound lacks warmth and richness. The bass, again, amazing for the SIZE. If portability is important to you, this is a good speaker, but if you are concerned with getting good sound quality, look else where, especially for the price. …

my favourite iPhone accessory
Purchased this on impulse an Apple Store Toronto, when it was $50 off on Black Friday. It is will well worth it even at regular p rice.
I am fairly picky about sound, and while the iPhone itself, especially over bluetooth is not known for great sound, the bass, volume, and overall sound was much so much better than expected that it became my favourite accessory
-8 hours battery life is great. We now use this more than our full size Sony iPhone sound dock as it is more convenient, and can be placed anywhere
-personally love the silver colour blends perfect with Apple aluminum on MacBook Air, etc
two notes
-it does come with a carry case - which is easy to miss because it folds so small and blends in with the black packaging interior - check the bottom of the packaging
-people have complained about loss of volume after firmware upgrade which is true and simply disabling "live audio" does not restore volume; you need to go into the my talk website, with device connection, click "edit" under advanced settings and disable both "audio clarity" and "live audio" to restore full volume …- Written by David K from TORONTO

Not worth the price
It came down to a fight between this and the Logitech Mobile Boombox.
First of all, the Jambox design is pretty poor for a pre mium-priced item. It's just... A box. Totally square lacking any flare. Not that it matters all that much, but still. When it's this ugly, it's hard NOT to notice.
It's easy enough to use, and it sounds ok, but that's it. It distorts well before top volume and at this price and size (it's small but not tiny) I was expecting more.
On the other hand, the Logitech killed it. The Mobile Boombox is smaller, look a little cuter (actually like a speaker, imagine that) sounds at least as good and has a bit more bass (it has a ported, air-reflex design - 80% of the size of it goes towards making good bass).
And it's almost half the price as the Jawbone!
Look, Jawbone has lots of experience making Bluetooth headsets, and Logitech has lots of experience making computer speakers.
So go and buy the speaker made by the speaker company (I did) and give your money to Jawbone the next time you need a headset! …- Written by Adam L from Sherman oaks

I regret buying this speaker
My reasons - 1. I had a similar unit in the past that cost half as much with much bigger sound. I would only buy this jambox for a bathroom or a very small bedroom. The sound is really not that loud. 2. The speaker constantly wants me to update it. It's annoying. 3. If you turn the sound up all the way the audio quality is not great and the unit moves about and falls off the table. 4. I have issues pairing with my computer in bluetooth. First time I have problems pairing a bluetooth device. 5. I contacted support about the bluetooth issues and never received a response. …
