The main palm rest is great...not exactly the best fit, but it still appears to be worth the price. My last laptop had a big spot worn in right there, so I welcome anything that will prevent that.
The part that goes on the trackpad - junk. Instead of feeling smooth like the trackpad, it's rough and gritty feeling...meaning I'm sure it'll get nasty looking with my finger dragging over it for 5-6 hours every day. On top of the gritty feel, it hinders the trackpad's sensitivity just a bit. Now when I tap to click, it rarely works on the first try. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but it looks horrid anyway, so I'll probably end up scrapping the trackpad piece.
That brings me to my only other complaint. The pieces aren't an exact fit, so you have try and center the pieces so that the gap is even on each side...otherwise your MacBook will have uneven gaps between touchpad and body....looking like a car that's been wrecked and the door doesn't line up evenly with the body.
Bottom line...it's an OK product and probably worth protecting the palm area from scratches. But five star reviews people? Really? …

Love the product!

It kept the palm area clean and unscratched and was extremely easy to install. The material didn't wear in the entire time I used it. I was a bit skeptical about the PalmGuard for the new unibody MacBook because I figured it would be difficult to color-match the material to the aluminum. I decided to give it a shot since I liked the white one so much. So far its been great! It protects the palm area and track pad just like the older version that I had, and despite my skepticism is matches the color perfectly! I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking to protect their MacBook!

You can unstick it and replace if you place it down incorrectly. It comes in two stickers - the small tracking pad sticker and the bigger sticker. Even though this is supposed to fit my macbook pro 13", the bigger sticker is a little longer on the sides which required me to cut it down a little (hence 4 stars instead of 5). Other than that, the gritty texture that people have been talking about is a non-issue for me; it's not gritty to me. I have not had any trouble with the tracking pad sticker either. I do not have to press down any harder than usual; it is still sensitive. I'm just glad to have something to protect the bottom of my computer which gets awfully dirty. …

Excellent quality, feels very similar to the aluminium, extremely easy to apply. There are some bad reviews that I read about the trackpad protector but from my experience it is very responsive. With the glass on the trackpad my fingers would have a lot of friction if my hands were a bit moist, but this does not occur with the trackpad protector and actually feels smoother. And if anyone is worried about this product not fitting with the Speck SeeThru case, don't be! it fits perfectly and doesn't peel or bubble up at the sides. Although its a bit on the pricey side, it is really worth the money if you want to protect your Macbook from scratches or wear. The product is hard to find in stores/apple stores so the best way is to purchase directly from the apple online store, and their service is incredibly efficient and fast. …

Instead of returning the item, I used a sharp pair of scissors and trimmed it down to size. It's not ideal, but it will protect the laptop until Moshi makes a palm guard specific to the 15" Macbook with Retina Display.
