Best AnswerThis charger comes with a UK and EU USB plug.
You can choose to connect the supplied USB lead from the plug to the docking stand or connect it to the USB port on a computer.
The USB cable is detachable from the base of the dock. The receiving socket on the base of the dock is mini USB.
Both battery and the iPhone charge at the same time in the dock or independently if only one of the two are docked.- Answered by Acco K

AnswerIt really depends on your needs and usage. If you are away from a charger and power, keep your auto brightness turned off and the brightness at a maximum of 50 percent if you are not connected to a power source

I have a speck protective case on my Iphone. do I have to remove it for chargening?

AnswerI have an Otterbox case and it has to be removed to plug in the battery pack. The battery pack plugs in flush against the bottom of the iPhone so the hard case gets in the way. If you have something like the Speck ToughSkin then your case will have to be removed.

can we charge the phone with a case on?

Best Answerwell, you would need a case which doesn't go over the bottom the your iphone/itouch because the battery is as wide or a similar size to the iphone/itouch and it comes up close to the edge of it leaving no space for a case inbetween. if you look at the 2nd picture you can see how close it goes to you itouch/iphone.

Does the battery hold the charge...for instance if I charged the extra battery and left it in the car for emergencies?

AnswerIt does, just like any lithium-ion-polymer battery. You shouldn't leave it in the car though, the heat is bad for any battery. It might even explode. Why don't you get a car charger?

Is it possible to connect the dock to power outlet & computer at the same time, so it syncs with the computer if it's on & charges alone if not?
I need something that charges my iPhone when my computer is off, and allows me to sync if the computer's on, while having the phone in the same place and not changing cables. Why isn't there an accessory for this?

Answer
I use it to charge my iPhone 4 with a Griffin Reveal Etch Graphite case on, but without using the dock adaptor. It's a bit wobbly, but should be ok if you don't use your iPhone when docked (to type emails or stuff).

Answer
YES - I just bought this last week, and I'm using it with my iPhone 4, with a case on. I specifically bought this because I wanted to charge and sync with a case on, which it does.
THE PROBLEM IS: I'm using it without the dock adaptor. It doesn't come with an iPhone 4 adaptor. When used like that, it can move front and back, if you push it (but not left and right). I'm not sure if it's bad for the phone or dock, but if you don't use the phone when it's docked, it should be ok.- Answered by Aaron O from Clayton
