I use my pad every day facebook email amazon books ect my first gen 64 gig won't allow updates from ios5 or adobe flash did I make the right move?

Ipad mini 64 or Ipad 4 128?

I have a Mac Book Pro for personal use, but I am now traveling frequently and need a way to pass the time on flights. I want to upgrade from my tablet ( I read a LOT) to something I can use for music and movies in an easy, no fuss way. I don't want to be greedy, but I don't want to feel the need to upgrade in 6 months. Help?

can ipad play files (wireless) from nas connected to my modem

I have got a NAS (network attached storage; harddrive) with music clips.
I also got Apple TV.
Currently I run all on a HP laptop (XP Pro) and can play music clips using Itunes
If I buy an Ipad, will I be able to run my video clip files (MP4) from my NAS, as an Ipad has only very limited internal memory / no hard drive.

The usage bar for my iPad on iTunes window on my PC tells me that I am devoting 6.1 gb to "other", apps take up about 3.7 gb. What is "other"?

The usage bar for my 16 GB iPad on the iTunes window on my PC tells me that I am devoting 6.1 GB to "other", apps take up about 3.7 GB. What is "other" and how can I reduce the space I am using here. With only 4.1 GB left in storage space I may not now be able to download a movie from iTunes.
