    The Zikmu have there own radio frequencey remote.
    Also you can log in to the speaker from a web browser on any device, MAC, iPhone etc to use a web utility.
    This allows you to contol the playback and audio settings of the speakers.
    If the app you are referring to is 'Remote' I believe this is used just to control Apple devices.
