Can I use this as a wireless 'receiver' and connect via ethernet to older G4?
I currently have a linksys router with the ethernet hooked up to a powermac G4 and use the wireless function for my work laptop. My son acquired an iMac G3. Can I use the Airport Express as a receiver of sorts, receiving the wireless signal from the linksys and then hooking it up to the iMac via ethernet in order to provide internet access and network capabilities to the iMac?

I just tried what you are asking for, and it works!
I have a Motorola router/access point. I set up the Airport Express with the Airport Utility as a client to an existing wireless network. Then I connected with an ethernet cable the Airport Express and my old Dell PC. It works like a charm. I presume that it would do it in your configuration as well.
