I have the previous model Magic Mouse (rounded corners). It has the same shell size as the wired Mighty Mouse, but without the wire. I've never had a problem with it. I believe the newer version follows the same logic.
As far as battery life on the older Magic Mouse, two rechargeable AA batteries last about two or three months with medium use. I see in The Apple Store that you can buy an Apple AA battery recharger with six batteries. So if your mouse or keyboard conk out, just take a break and change with some freshly charged batteries.- Answered by Michael M from Raleigh
