Will this connect a macpro with fibre card to a thunderbolt drive like the pegasus raid?

No. This is simply an adapter for Thunderbolt-equipped Mac to connect to Fibre Channel infrastructure such as an Xsan. It does not allow a Mac Pro with an FC card to connect to any Thunderbolt peripherals.

Was told by promise that it will allow a MacPro with a fibre card to connect to a thunderbolt drive!!!!

I just got off the phone with the sales rep at Promise and they say NO. you can not go from macpro to fibre to hard drive.
