No, you will require a lightning to 30 pin connector which you plug into your iPod touch 5 and then connect on a 30 pin dock.

If you mean the new 5th generation 2012 model iPod touch, than this is the answer: The new iPod touch will not work with all docks, because it has the Lightning connector. Hope this helped!

No, it won't. The plug is totally different. Unless it goes in the headphone jack, you have to get a dock specific to the iPod.

You will need an adapter since the new generation touch (the one with the 4" screen) uses the new lightning connector. All the current iPod docks make use of the old 30 pin connector.

Yes, it work with past ipod docks, but you have to buy a lightning to 30 pin adapter which costs 29.99 or 39.99 with 0.2 meters of wire.

No, because it has a lighting connection instead of a normal 30 pin connection but you can get an adapter. So if you get the adapter, than yes, you can. (but I would recommend a new dock because the adapter is like an inch high)

Not without a Lightning to 30 pin adapter. The adapter is a separate purchase but is STRONGLY recommended if you have a dock that works with any device up to the newest generation.

The Lightning to 30-pin Adapter does solve the docking problem, but it does not seem to charge the iPod when used with older docking technology. It works with my newer Bose SoundDock bought in late 2011, but won't charge when on my older one which is probably 4 years old or on the car FM transmitter which is at least 6 years old.

Yes, but first you will have to purchase an adaptor that connects between the 30 pin on the dock and the new small connector on the iPod.

Sorry, no.
Since the iPod touch 5th gen. uses a lightning connector, docks that use the old 30-pin connector, (The one that's used for older iPods and iPhones) will not work with it. You can however, buy a dock that supports lightning, or buy an adapter for lightning to 30-pin
