magic mouse required for Lion?
My Mac desktop has the older mouse with the roller ball on top (model A1197).
Will the Lion operating system require the Magic Mouse to perform all the (new)
functions described?
Thank you!- Asked by Virginia C from Altamonte Springs

Best AnswerAll the features of lion will be accessible through icons on the dock, or through keyboard shortcuts. However to get gesture support (e.g. Switching between fullscreen apps by swiping fingers sideways) a magic mouse or magic touchpad will be needed.

Can this mouse be used to play games like World Of Warcraft?
The mighty mouse worked with WoW but the issue I had with the Mighty Mouse was when you leave your finger on the LMB (Left Mouse Button), the RMB (Right Mouse Button) wouldn't work so you HAD to take your finger off the mouse button to right click.
Does this mouse have any issues?- Asked by Shayaan S from Mantua

Best AnswerI am playing with one right now at the Apple store and it works just like you said.. you cannot work the right mouse button while holding down the left side. It seems to be more of a rocker-switch in function.

Browsing Multiple Web Pages
With the old (standard issue) mouse that came with the iMac, one could hit the two sides of the mouse, and all of the open web pages would zoom out (become tiles), and you could select the web page of choice. Does the Magic Mouse have this feature? Thank you Justin

AnswerNo the Magic Mouse does not support this feature.
This feature is called expose. When the old mouse came out there was not a keyboard shortcut for expose. Apple keyboards now come standard with an expose shortcut. I have mine set to the default of F3.- Answered by Jeffrey K from Columbus

Does this work with VirtualBox running Windows 7?
I am planning on installing VirtualBox and putting Windows 7 as a VM. Has anyone tried this with the magic mouse?

Best AnswerIt does work just fine in Windows 7, however from what i've heard the scrolling only works when scrolling up and down, it won't scroll side to side. If you don't mind losing that feature when using it in windows then it works great.

Does the Magic Mouse detect single/double clicks without sound clicking like mac book pro touchpad do?
- Asked by Matteo V
- 03-Nov-2009
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerThe touchpad of the current generation MacBook Pro's is able to click and double click without physical clicking, by configuring it in the System Preferences (tapping).
The Magic Mouse does only allow physical clicks, probably because the possibility of tapping would cause a disproportional amount of occasional clicks while moving the mouse.- Answered by Joram H

Yes, you can use the wireless keyboard with the iPad 2, since it has bluetooth capabilities. You wouldn't have to change the setup of the keyboard though, you would just have to configure it in the iPad preferences. The wireless keyboard also works with the first generation iPad

Does the mouse use more battery power when your hand is just resting idly on it than when you take your hand off (assuming computer is on)?
- Asked by Pat F from Ann Arbor
- 30-Mar-2012
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerI rest my hand on it a lot, and it has great battery life, so there shouldn't be a problem there. Mine lasts about 4 months straight of every day use and hand resting idle on it, while computer is on! It has wonderful battery life in my opinion! :) Hope I helped!!
