ELIGIBILITY
Those eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals
include faculty, staff, students and parents as follows:
K12 - Any employee of a public or private K-12 institution in
the United States is eligible. In addition, school board members who are
currently serving as elected or appointed members are eligible. PTA or
PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers are eligible.
Higher Education - Faculty and staff of Higher Education institutions;
and students attending, or accepted into a Higher Education institution
are eligible to purchase. Purchases from the Apple Store for Education
Individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.
Higher Education Parents - Parents purchasing on behalf of their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in the United States, are eligible to purchase.
U.S. SALES ONLY
The Apple Store sells and ships products only within the continental
United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. No shipments can be made to APO addresses,
United States territories, or addresses outside the United States. You
may not export any products purchased at the Apple Store.
PURCHASE QUANTITY
Faculty, Staff and Students purchasing from the Apple Store for Education
Individuals will be allowed to purchase the following quantities of product per academic school year:
- Desktop: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
- Mac mini: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
- Notebook: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
- Display: A maximum of two (2) may be purchased per academic year
- Software: A maximum of two (2) per software title may be purchased per academic year
- Apple TV: There is no limit on the quantity of Apple TV purchases per academic year
- iPod: There is no limit on the quantity of iPod purchases per academic year
**The above purchases can be made either online or through your Authorized Campus Reseller.
Total product quantities remain the same regardless of where your purchase is made.
DEFECTIVE ITEMS
Apple Branded Products
If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any Apple
branded product please contact Apple Technical Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273).
Such a defect, if any, is covered under the terms of your product's warranty.
Please refer to the warranty information and other support documentation
that came with your product. (See Product Warranty section below for specific
information about Apple's product warranties.)
Non-Apple Branded/Third Party Products
If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any third-party
product please contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding
the manufacturers' standard warranties.
NOTE: Products sold through this Web site which do not bear the Apple
brand name are serviced and supported exclusively by their manufacturers
in accordance with terms and conditions packaged with the products. Apple's
Limited Warranty does not apply to products that are not Apple-branded,

RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase of a pre-built product, please call 1-800-676-2775 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the product. If the item is returned unopened in the original box, we will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. The product must be returned to the Apple warehouse within14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product. A 10% open box fee will be assessed on any opened hardware or accessory. If you purchased your order using an Apple Business Lease, you may be asked to provide a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) for Apple to assess the 10% open box restocking fee.

*You may return software after rejecting the licensing terms, provided the software is not installed on a computer. However, software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.
NOTE: Apple recommends that you (1) use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and (2) either insure your package for safe return to Apple or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking and (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping. Please not that the United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar -day waiting period before the USPS will initiate a trace.
Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product: System Failure Out of the Box
An Apple-branded hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms
of a hardware failure preventing basic operability, upon its first use
out of the box. If you discover that your product may be DOA please call
Apple technical support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) within 30 days of the invoice
date. Apple technical support will determine if the product is DOA and
offer you the following options:

Replacement: The same product that was ordered will be shipped to
you at Apple's expense. Apple Care Technical Support will put you in touch with an Apple Store Sales Support Representative to set up a replacement order and provide the procedure for returning the DOA product.

Service: You may have the product repaired; however, once serviced
the product is no longer eligible for replacement. Product must be deemed
DOA by Apple technical support within 30 days of the invoice date in order
to receive a replacement unit.
DOA Terms and Conditions

This DOA policy only applies to Apple-branded hardware products currently
offered on the Apple Education Store. As new products are offered Apple
reserves the right to determine whether or not this policy applies.

This DOA policy does not apply to third party products which do not bear
the Apple brand name. You may call the manufacturer directly with any third

If the product is deemed DOA by Apple technical support 30 days after the
invoice date Apple's standard product warranty will apply.

Apple will arrange for shipping at its expense.

Apple reserves the right to test returned DOA product. If the condition
of the product is misrepresented by the customer, Apple may pursue imposing
a fee, for wrongful return, of $400 to the customer.

1-Click ®
1-Click is a registered service mark of Amazon.com, Inc., used under
license. 1-Click is a convenient feature that allows you to purchase on
the Apple Store with a single click of your mouse. You must have a valid
Apple Store Account to activate 1-Click features. To activate your 1-Click
features you should follow instructions provided to you. Once you have
activated 1-Click features, you simply select the products you wish to
purchase and click the "Buy with 1-Click" button. When purchasing products
using 1-Click, you will have 90 minutes to change items in your 1-Click
order (except for Electronic Software Downloads). By activating 1-Click
preferences, you agree with Apple's Sales and Refund Policy. For more details

Electronic Software Download
Refund Policy
Using a valid Apple Store Account, you can select downloadable software
products for purchase at the Apple Store. At the time of checkout, we will
obtain an authorization from the credit card you have provided the Apple
Store. Once credit card authorization has been received, you will receive
instructions in the form of a link to begin downloading your software.
If the transmission is interrupted in any way during download, you can
use your Apple Store account and password to begin the downloading process
again. Once you complete your order, you will receive a separate email
acknowledgment that provides information about your purchase.
If credit card authorization is not received, you will receive instructions
for completing your purchase.

carefully since software download purchases are non-refundable.
Electronic Software Download Sales Tax
Applicable sales tax will be charged for downloadable software purchases
where required by local law in the jurisdiction where the purchaser resides.
QuickTime Pro Keys
You can purchase the QuickTime Pro Key at the Apple Store using a valid
Apple Store account. At the time of checkout, we will obtain an authorization
from the credit card you provide. If the credit card authorization is approved,
you will receive an email notification that includes installation instructions
and a Key Code.

PROOF OF PURCHASE
Apple will send you a confirmation of your order by regular mail when
your order is shipped. If you have included an email address with your
order, Apple will also send you an order confirmation via email.
CUSTOM-CONFIGURED PRODUCT
We are pleased to offer product custom configured to your specifications,
and encourage you to review your order carefully. Since the product is
built to your specifications the order can not be changed, modified or
canceled once your order is in production.
PAYMENT METHODS
Credit Card
You may pay by credit card no matter which ordering method you use
(Internet or phone). At the time your order is placed, Apple obtains a
pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order.
Credit card billing occurs when your order ships.
The Apple Store accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover
cards.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Apple is unable to accept credit, debit, or check cards
associated with a billing address outside of the United
States.
- Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits which may
substantially delay the processing of your order.
Credit Card Security Codes
The Apple Store requires the credit card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase. The credit card security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your credit card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard or Discover). Asking for and confirming your credit card's security code helps validate that you - and only you - are in the possession of your credit card and protects you from unauthorized use of your account.
Multiple Payment Tenders
You may use multiple payment tenders on anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or software download such as QuickTime). Split payment orders can be made no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or phone). You can pay with two credit cards by indicating the amount to place on your primary card. The remaining balance will be allocated automatically to the second card. You may also use up to four Apple Gift Cards or up to four Apple Gift Cards with a credit card. A purchase can also be split between Apple Credit and another credit card or between Apple Credit and up to four Apple Gift Cards.
Apple Gift Card
You can redeem an Apple Gift Card in retail Apple Stores, from the online Apple Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the United States. You can purchase just about anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or purchases at the iTunes Music Store), including products from both Apple and third-party makers. In retail stores, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. For online or purchases through 1-800-MY-APPLE, enter or provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Please keep the card in your possession until the order has been processed and delivered. The Apple Gift Card is subject to applicable terms and conditions.
Cashier's Check or Money Order
The Apple Store accepts a cashier's check or money order as a valid
form of payment. Personal or business checks are not accepted. If you wish
to pay by cashier's check or money order, you may order by phone at 1-800-780-5009.

The Apple Store accepts bank wire transfers as a valid form of payment. If you would like to use a wire transfer to pay for your order, please follow these steps:

SALES TAX
Apple Store purchases will include sales tax based on your shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is billed. If you phone in your order, the Apple Store sales representative will provide an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. If the sales tax rate for the state to which your order is being shipped changes before the product is shipped, the rate in effect at the time your order is invoiced will apply. The proof of purchase that Apple mails to you will include any applicable sales tax.
TAX-EXEMPT ORDERS
If your order is being placed on behalf of a tax-exempt organization
or individual, please call Apple Store sales support at 1-800-676-2775.
Please be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the
state where the product is shipping. The organization or individual name
on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal
tax exemption certificates are not accepted.
SHIPPING OPTIONS
Apple offers 4 convenient shipping options.
- Standard Shipping: This option is free on all qualifying products. Products shipped via standard service are normally delivered within five business days after shipment.
- 2-Day Shipping: For an additional charge, we offer this expedited shipping option on most of our products. Products shipped via two-day service prior to 5:00 p.m. EST are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time two business days after shipment.
- 2-3 Day International Shipping: For an additional charge, we offer this expedited shipping option on products shipped from international locations. Products shipped prior to 5:00 p.m. EST, are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time two-three business days after shipment.
- Overnight Delivery: For an additional charge, we offer this expedited shipping option on most of our products. Products shipped prior to 5:00 p.m. EST, via overnight service are normally delivered by 3:00 p.m. local time one business day after shipment. Overnight delivery is not available for orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.
Signature is required for delivery: Most of our shipments contain valuable computer equipment. If you will not be at the shipping address to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping the item to an address where someone you trust will be available to sign for your package. Please note that we are not able to adjust the shipping address once a package has left Apple's warehouse. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery.
Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, please contact us to make arrangements for reshipment.
Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the package will be returned to us.
ORDER PROCESSING
The estimated shipment date on your order is based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time and does not include transit time. Payment processing will not begin until we receive all the information we need and full payment or a full authorization, in the case of credit card and lease orders.
Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day.
Orders for in-stock items that are eligible for same-day shipping must be received before your local time of 2:00 p.m., pending payment processing. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day. Unanticipated changes in supply can affect product availability. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
Some of our products are shipped from our international locations. Overnight shipping is not available on products shipped from outside the United States.

PRICES
The Apple Store endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current
Apple products and selected Sale and Apple Certified Reconditioned products. Your total
order price will include the price of the product (on the day of shipping)
plus any applicable sales tax and shipping charges. Apple reserves the
right to change prices for products displayed at the Apple Store at any
time.
Should Apple reduce its price on any shipped product within 14 calendar
days of shipment, you may contact Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775
to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were
charged and the current selling price. To receive the refund or credit
you must contact Apple within 14 calendar days of the price change.
PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
Order lead time is the length of time it will take us to validate your credit card, assemble the right products and package your order. Shipping time is the length of time it will take for the package to travel from our warehouse to your shipping address.
Apple makes every effort to ship your product according to the estimated
lead times provided by the Apple Store at checkout. The estimated
lead times are in business days (Monday through Friday) excluding Federal
Reserve holidays. Lead times will begin the following business day for orders placed and credit cleared after 2 p.m. PST. Lead times quoted on the checkout page are for orders that are partially shipped - meaning
items ship as soon as they are available.
If you have requested a complete shipment, please add 3-4 additional days for transportation and order consolidation processing.
Although every effort is made to ship your order according to the lead time provided,
shipping dates may change due to changes in supply. If the lead time changes,
Apple will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping estimate.

Your use of Apple-branded software is on the terms of the license in
effect for the software at the time of purchase. You will be asked
to agree to the terms of the applicable license at the time that you install

be aware, however, that your purchase is subject to the particular license
that accompanies the software and you must agree to the terms and conditions

AUDIT RIGHTS
Apple routinely audits the purchases of customers at the Apple Store
for Education to insure that only eligible purchases have ordered and that
all purchase conditions have been observed. Should an audit disclose after
delivery (or should Apple otherwise discover) that you were not an eligible
purchaser at the time you placed your order or that you have not observed
all of the conditions applicable to your purchase, you authorize Apple:

If you placed your order by credit card, to charge to your credit card
the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and
the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the
Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order; and

If you paid by a means other than credit card, to (a) invoice you for the
difference between the amount that you paid for the delivered goods and
the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the
Apple Store, payable in fifteen days from the date of the invoice, and
(b), should you fail to pay the invoice when due, institute legal action
against you in a court of competent jurisdiction, with the prevailing party
entitled to attorneys' fees.

Should Apple not offer to the general public the specific products that
you purchased at the Apple Store for education, your credit card will be
charged or you will be invoiced the difference between the amount you paid
for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public
for the closest equivalent goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date
that you placed your order.
