Whom should I contact? How do I place an Apple Store order? You can place an order with the Apple Store online by visiting our website or by phone by calling 800-MY-APPLE. Where does the Apple Store sell and ship products? The Apple Store sells and ships products only within the United States. No shipments can be made to APO or FPO addresses, U.S. territories, or addresses outside the United States. You may not export products purchased at the Apple Store. Can I build my computer system to order? Many Macintosh product families allow you to build your computer system to order, specifying which features you would like. To build your computer to order: 1. Select a product family from the Apple Store menu. 2. Select the model or configuration that most closely matches your needs. 3. On the "Personalize Your System" page, use the pop-up menus to customize your computer. When you’re done, click the "Continue" button. 4. Choose additional items on the "Do You Need Anything Else?" page. 5. Click the "Continue" button to review your order before purchasing. Will I have to pay sales tax? Yes. Because it has a physical presence in all 50 states, Apple is required by law to collect applicable sales tax on all orders from the Apple Store. Sales tax is also collected on downloadable software purchases if required by law in the jurisdiction where the purchaser resides. What is the sales tax rate for my purchase? The Apple Store applies the sales tax rate in effect at the time of purchase in the jurisdiction the purchase will be shipped to. (If that sales tax rate changes before the product is shipped, the new rate will apply.) The proof of purchase Apple mails you will include any applicable sales tax. If you place your order by phone, your Apple Store sales agent will provide you with the final total of your order, including tax and shipping charges. Can orders be tax-exempt? To place an order on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, call Apple Store Sales Support at 800-676-2775. Be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product will be shipped. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal tax-exemption certificates are not accepted. Is an email address required to place an order? No, but if you provide one, Apple will send you periodic email updates on the status of your order. How do I review and complete my order? You can review your order at any time by visiting the "Review Your Order" page. To get there, select the "View Current Order" link at the top of any Apple Store page. To continue shopping, click the "Continue Shopping" button. Your order will be saved as long as you remain on the Apple Store website. To complete your order, enter your Apple ID and password and click the "Check Out" button. Provide billing and shipping information, then click the "Place My Order" button to complete your purchase.
